If you’re thinking that the number of trailers that we’ve released in the past few months is a little more than usual, you wouldn’t be wrong! As book trailers become a larger part of the publishing industry, we’ve had more demand for our services now than ever before.

“Magical, smart and swoony, A Book of Spirits and Thieves is the most fun I’ve had reading a book in a long time.”

Rachel HawkinsNew York Times bestselling author of the Hex Hall and Rebel Belle series

Our newest book trailer that we’re revealing on our blog today is for NYT bestselling author Morgan RhodesA Book of Spirits and Thieves. ABOSAT is a companion trilogy to the author’s very popular Falling Kingdoms series, though we’re told you don’t have to have read the initial series to enjoy this new work. The worlds that Rhodes builds are detailed and compelling, read a quick summary here:

Modern-day Toronto:
A heavy leather-bound book written in an unrecognizable language is delivered to the Speckled Muse, the antique bookshop owned by Crystal and Becca Hatcher’s mother. When Becca opens it, she’s sent into a coma, leaving Crys behind to uncover a series of terrifying secrets.

Ancient Mytica:
A merciless goddess hunts for the elusive treasure that will make her ruler not only of Mytica, but of all the unseen worlds that lay beyond it.

Modern-day Toronto:
Rich and aimless Farrell Grayson finally has the chance to prove himself when the mysterious leader of a powerful secret society invites him into his fold.

Ancient Mytica:
Maddox Corso has always been different, but never remarkable. Everything changes the day he meets a pretty, unfamiliar girl from a faraway land, only to realize that he’s the only one who can see her.

Fate has brought these young people together, but ancient magic threatens to rip them apart.

Our goal was to capture the moment of transport between modern day Toronto and the fantastical realm of Mytica. Watch below:

Directed by Joe Morgan, in order to capture the mystical and mysterious element of this new fantasy series, our cinematic book trailer was shot in England. We think he’s done a fantastic job in bringing the book to the screen.
